Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic acupuncture is a non-invasive technique for minimizing aging-related symptoms. Years can be removed off your face using acupuncture techniques and other complementary methods. By addressing the physical, mental, and emotional patterns that lead to disease and accelerated aging, the entire body looks and feels younger.

How Does Cosmetic Acupuncture Work?

Beauty originates within, according to traditional Chinese medicine. It's probable that your body's Qi, Blood, and Essence are out of balance when you start to age in a way that looks and feels premature. You'll feel and appear more refreshed once balance has been restored. On a physiological level, acupuncture has been demonstrated to improve blood flow throughout the body . By providing nutrients, hydration, and stimulating proper tone of the muscles of the face, increased blood flow can support and maintain healthy looking skin. The collagen and elastin produced as a result of the needles being placed into the face will help tone the skin. Our bodies manufacture the protein collagen, which gives our skin its structure and strength. Our skin's suppleness is a result of elastin. Our collagen and elastin are diminished as we age and are exposed to the sun. The body's normal processes of cell development and reproduction are stimulated by acupuncture. Needles are inserted into the muscle motor points to reposition the muscles in their natural positions, giving the face a more sculpted, young, and lifted appearance. Facial acupuncture and facial rejuvenation acupuncture are other names for cosmetic acupuncture.

  • For desired results, a normal course of treatment includes 8–16 visits either weekly or twice a week. Even though improvements can frequently be seen after a few sessions, completing the entire course enables deeper, longer-lasting results to happen. Maintenance sessions after a course of treatment can extend the effects. Depending on the patient's response, maintenance sessions are typically held monthly for two to three months, then seasonally for as long as you wish to maintain results. It could be necessary to repeat 10 treatments for some challenging situations, such as those when the patient is older and has deeper wrinkles. Maintenance is essential as we fight against gravity and the sun, two of agings biggest causes.

  • After a series of 10 treatments, with maintenance, the results of facial acupuncture rejuvenation are cumulative and can last up to three years.

Although every patient is unique, most patients only require maintenance treatments once a month or once a year. Cosmetic acupuncture reduces existing fine lines and delays the aging process of the skin.

  • At age 21, skin elasticity begins to deteriorate. It is therefore never too early to begin. Typically, patients under the age of 55 experience the best outcomes. 20 to 55 years old is the ideal age range. Cosmetic acupuncture can help even younger skin to keep it glowing and slow down the aging process.

  • Patients with the following disorders should not be treated with cosmetic acupuncture:

    • Hemophiliacs

    • Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure

    • Severe Migraines within the last 3 months

    • Pregnant Women

  • When you come in for your first appointment, we go over your medical history and any physical, mental, or emotional problems you may be having that require attention. We'll assess the improvements you'd like to see in your face and skin and determine the kind of treatment strategy that best suits your requirements. Acupuncture needles that are even smaller than a human hair are inserted into specified locations throughout the body throughout each treatment. While you are unwinding and lying down on my treatment table, I insert the needles into various parts of your body. The goal of acupuncture is to help you relax and get the greatest benefit possible from the procedure.

You might experience nothing after each needle is put, or you might occasionally experience a hazy numbness, weight, or faint tingling. Whether or not these sensations are felt during treatment, it is still effective. While you unwind and listen to relaxing music, the needles will stay in for approximately 30 minutes. The treatments are generally quite relaxing. Many patients will fall asleep. You can feel tranquil and joyful after the procedure. It is pretty typical for the first one or two sessions to be followed by a feeling of extreme relaxation or even moderate confusion. These pass quickly and never require more than a brief period of rest to get over.

  • Return visit appointments generally last 60 minutes

*Note: initial visits require more time while your initial intake forms are reviewed.

  • Before receiving acupuncture, patients should eat (but not excessively) and dress comfortably. Dress appropriately in case where access is needed. Avoid strenuous activity for at least two hours prior to and following treatment. Alcohol use is not recommended.

  • Facial acupuncture rejuvenation has effects that extend beyond the face. Each acupuncture session is tailored to the individual's aging process. Because everyone's aging process is different, no two people ever receive the same therapies. According to the theories of Chinese medicine, acupuncture points are selected based on a unique differential diagnosis. A diagnosis is made by looking at your overall health and the variety of symptoms you may be experiencing. If you have additional complaints, such as gastrointestinal issues, acute or chronic pain, stress, sleeplessness, or exhaustion, these symptoms will be addressed in the session, with specific points chosen to holistically address your health. As a result, the treatment aims to balance both your overall health and beauty from within. At the same time as the wrinkles go, your health also becomes better!

Treatments can regulate hormones, postpone aging-related hair loss and graying, and enhance hormonal balance. You might observe that your sleep is of higher quality and that you have more energy. Your metabolism and digestion should both improve, and your immune system strengthened.
